Centerline Driving School is growing and looking to add a part-time Driving Instructor to cover nights and weekends as part of our team at our location in Renton Washington. We are a professional, fun, and easy-going group of people. This position pays $17 – $20/hour depending on experience. We offer flexible scheduling, paid time off, a fleet of cars, and a fun work environment! As a Driving Instructor you will be responsible to:

• Effectively deliver the provided driver training curriculum.
• Manage a classroom of up to 25 students.
• Accurately record student attendance and progress.
• Conduct behind-the-wheel driving lessons.
• Oversee written examinations.
• Conduct official, Washington State driving exams.

Here are a few more requirements/details about the job:

• Must have a current WA driver’s license, have been driving for at least 5 years, and have a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Either hold a current WA DOL Driving Instructor certificate OR be willing to attend our training course and successfully complete the course and pass the WA Dept. of Licensing Instructor Knowledge and Road Tests.

We provide all the mandatory training (roughly 120 hours). During training, instructors will receive $17/hour. We offer a $1,000 bonus for the successful completion of all state certifications. An ideal candidate will:

• Enjoy spending part of your workday out of the office and in a car.
• Work responsibly with minimal supervision.
• Have some type of public speaking, coaching, teaching, customer service, or similar experience.
• Possess a high level of positive energy.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Have good attention to detail.
• Multi-lingual would be fantastic but is not required.

Centerline Driving School is open 7 days a week. Scheduling for our Drive Instructors is flexible from 7 am until 8 pm.
